Learn the various pathways of immigration to the United States, including family sponsorship and employment from Ukraine.

Interested in Immigrating to the US from Ukraine?

Those Americans who have full or partial ancestry from Ukraine are often called Ukrainian Americans. There are about 1,009,874 Americans who identify as being somewhat Ukrainian. This makes up about .31% of the American population. Although individual Ukrainians had previously traveled to the United States, the first large wave arrived in the late 1800s, coinciding with the industrialization of the United States.

Ukrainian immigrants have helped shape many industries in America such as farming, railroad construction, factory working, textiles, government, politics, teaching, and religion.
