About St. Kitts and Nevis

St Kitts and Nevis is a dual island country located in the West Indies approximately 200 miles south of Puerto Rico and 1200 miles from Miami near the Caribbean islands of St. Barths, St. Maarten, Anguilla, and Antigua.

Government

The country is a Commonwealth realm with the Queen of England being the Head of State. St. Kitts and Nevis is a member of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and the United Nations (UN).

Population

The population is just over 55,000 and residents enjoy a great standard of living in a federal parliamentary democracy.

Language

English is the only official language of the country but Saint Kitts Creole is often spoken as well.

To qualify for St. Kitts & Nevis Citizenship by Real Estate investment you must purchase a home in an approved St. Kitts and Nevis real estate project.

Processing time: 6 months or accelerated process, 60 days at an additional cost of $25,000 USD

Investment Cost: An independent investment in pre-approved real estate (held for a minimum of 5 years) USD $400,000 OR a joint investment with another main applicant (held for 7 years) USD $200,000

Qualifications

  • Be of outstanding character
  • Have no criminal record
  • Investment in approved real estate projects

Applicants may qualify for citizenship through an investment in a pre-approved real estate project, which may include hotel shares, villas, and condominium units. The minimum real estate investment required by law is US$200,000 (resalable after 7 years) or US$400,000 (resalable after 5 years) for each main applicant.

Upon submission of an application, non-refundable due diligence and processing fees must also be paid. These fees amount to US$7,500 for the main applicant, and US$4,000 for each dependent of the main applicant who is over the age of 16 years.

 

On approval in principle of an application made through a real estate investment, a Government fee applies, as follows:

  • Main applicant: US$35,050
  • Spouse of the main applicant: US$20,050
  • Any other qualified dependent of the main applicant regardless of age: US$10,050
 

In addition to these fees, real estate buyers should be aware of purchase costs (mainly compulsory insurance fund contributions and conveyance fees). Additional legal fees are applicable.
