Foreign Immigrants Face Challenges in US Work Force
With the immigrant population in the United States closing in on 40 million people, integration is an important and necessary aspect to ensuring the quality of life in the U.S. While the percentage of people living in the U.S. who were born elsewhere has reached an all time high of nearly 13%, unemployment is soaring and job opportunities, particularly for the foreign-born, are scarce.
Skilled But Poorly Paid
Although many come to the U.S. seeking better economic opportunities, and a striking number come prepared for highly specialized jobs, there are strict limits on how many visas can be granted each year for higher paid positions. This leaves many to toil at low wage jobs for which they are severely over qualified.
With a limited amount of visas available, those wishing to immigrate to the US will have much better access to these visas with the help of an expert in the immigration process. Niren and Associates have helped thousands of foreigners through successful US work visa application bids.
The National Immigrant Integration Conference
Prior to the meeting of the National Immigrant Integration Conference (NIIC) in Baltimore, MD on September 22nd, the following statistics were released:
- Immigrants, on average, earn nearly 25% less than their native-born equivalents.
- 50% of immigrants are without health care coverage. In contrast, 84% of all U.S. born citizens living in the U.S. have some sort of health care insurance.
- Close to 20% of all small businesses in the U.S. are owned by people born outside of the U.S. who later immigrated.
- One-third of all engineers and just under 30% of all computer scientists, statisticians, and physical scientists are immigrants.
The four-day NIIC meeting addresses issues of integration for immigrants to the U.S. and seeks solutions to dilemmas like these.

Spectacular experience. Completely smooth process, they were able to answer any of my questions any time and I had peace of mind throughout the application time, which was invaluable. I have recommended them to other friends looking for assistance with their applications, and will continue to do so. Worth every penny.

Great law firm with great staff. My lawyer Rania did a great job for my Canadian work permit and my daughters study permit. You are great in your work. And my Para Legal officer Alicea, you are just amazing. They did not rest until my job was promptly and properly done. Always there to answer my calls, reply my emails promptly. She tried her best and the results were amazing. I recommend visa place if you need the best immigration job. Many thanks to Rania and Alicea.
