Canada has been one of the top countries for immigration for many years. With the influx of people interested in immigrating to Canada, there has also been an increase in scams and people who take advantage of the immigration system. The Canadian government has taken an important step to decrease immigration fraud among the Canadian immigration system by creating the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants.
What is the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants?
On November 23, 2021, the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants will officially open. The College will become the official regulator of immigration consultants across Canada which will eventually help weed out the criminals acting as consultants.

The College will be able to provide the necessary tools to conduct professional and legal advice to those looking to immigrate to Canada. The initial board of directors will be made up of 5 public interest directors and 4 members of the college, who will be immigration consultants.
