2012 Top 25 Canadian Immigrants Nominations Closing Soon

In November, we posted to remind everyone that the nominations for the 2012 Top 25 Canadian Immigrants contest held by RBC was open – and now we’d just like to offer a quick reminder that the nominations are drawing to a close: The nominations are only open until January 24th, 2012 at noon.

“Who qualifies to be a Top 25 Canadian Immigrant? Any immigrant who has chosen this country as their own and made it a better place,” editor of Canadian Immigrant Magazine, Margaret Jetelina, said in a press release. “More than success stories, the Top 25 winners over the last three years have been role models of great inspiration to others in this country. So for our 2012 awards, we’re asking again – who inspires you?”

RBC will donate $500 to charity on the behalf of each winner. Past winners include Adrienne Clarkson, Michaelle Jean, Raffi Cavoukian, Donovan Bailey and Ian Hanomansing.

For more information or to nominate someone, visit the Canadian Immigrant Magazine website here. The magazine also has an article in which previous Top 25 winners share their best advice for newcomers to Canada, which is definitely worth a read.
