Canada has long-supported reform initiatives for improved refugee conditions, education, gender equality and human resource development in Jordan. As of the 2016 Canadian census, there were approximately 15,000 people who identified as Jordanian in Canada. However these numbers may be greater as a number of Palestinian and Lebanese immigrants also originate from Jordan.
