Not everyone who visits the United States temporarily for business reasons is actually working in the United States for a United States employer or being paid by one. If you were working in the United States and being paid by a US Employer, you would require a United States Work Permit.

What is a B-1 Visa?
A B-1 Business Visitor’s Visa for the United States is special US Work status that allows the holder to enter the United States and conduct business activities such as:
