Changes in Canadian immigration laws to heart moving immigrant success stories.

Canada Immigration News

The Parent and Grandparent sponsorship immigration program (PGP) has been extremely popular since Canada introduced it. The PGP is currently closed for new applications so both parents and grandparents are now turning to applying through the Super Visa program. The Super Visa program allows candidates multiple entries into Canada for up to 10 years. Although it is similar to the visitor visa, it allows individuals to stay in Canada for up to two years. The only issue with using a Super Visa vs PGP is that an individual can’t work on the Super Visa. However, obtaining a Super Visa is a much speedier process. An application can be processed in around two months which is great compared to other Canadian visa. Although the Super Visa applications are still open for now, you can expect to hit capacity soon due to the redirection of applications.

This week we want to highlight three talented international students in Canada who invented a robot to assist with immigration. These three students invented a bot that through Facebook Messenger, to answer questions and assist prospective international students through the Canadian visa application process. The three students, Ruhi Madiwale, Dhivya Jayaraman and JeyaBalaji Samuthiravelu, are post graduates in computer science at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. All three of the students are originally from India but applied for visas to study in Canada years ago. Samuthiravelu explained that he had issues with the application process then the idea of the RovBOT was created to simplify the process. “The bot would help universities answer basic questions, so advisors could answer more complex questions”. Their aim is to fully integrate the RovBOT with university international offices across Canada.

Visa place helped me with my daughter’s sponsorship 3 years ago. Last week I contacted them for some clarification on a different matter. It was about an issue which technically was a problem of CIC’s software glitch and had nothing to do with Visa Place.
Yet Reena Sandu was assigned for my case. she helped me with enthusiasm and showed no hesitation despite me being an ex-client from 3 years ago.
I was very happy that even after 3 years of finishing business, Visa Place were respectful of their clients. Special thanks again to Reena for her enthusiasm and support.
