Weekly Immigration News and Top Rated Stories: Changes in Canadian immigration laws to heart moving immigrant success stories.

Breaking Canada Immigration News

Although the newest liberal Canadian government has great approval ratings, there are still many Canadians who are concerned about the movement to the left. Not surprisingly, they are huge admirers of the direction that the United States is going under the rule of Donald Trump. “You cannot deny he is a force of nature. He may be unorthodox, he may get himself in a pinch with his words, but he certainly reminds you that he is always coming from a position of strength,” said Ann Bowen. The Bowens have lived in Canada for as long as they can remember with three generations living on their property. Dave Bowen says that he and his fellow countryfolk have many reasons to admire Trump’s policies but more specifically his strict crackdown on immigration. As a result of Trump’s policies, many asylum-seekers have fled to Canada, and many Canadian’s aren’t as welcoming as the prime minister Justin Trudeau.

The High Commissioner of Canada, Perry John Calderwood, said that there is a real potential that Pakistan and Canada can enhance cooperation in agriculture, energy, mining, ICT, and other fields. Both countries complement each other in many ways. For example, Canada is active in hydro & solar power, oil & gas, and Pakistan can benefit from its expertise to improve their energy systems. Pakistan has great business investor potential that Canada can take advantage of to build the Canadian economy. Pakistan also has many sectors that could be beneficial for Canada to invest in such as “oil & gas, infrastructure, power generation, information & communication technologies, mining, agro business, wood sector and science & technology.” We can expect many more business relations between Pakistan and Canada shortly.

In the past, the wealthy were easy to get Canadian Permanent Residency, but recently, they are turning to temporary work visas. These wealthy business investors are buying Canadian businesses and turning to temporary employment visas. When someone buys Canadian companies they can get temporary work permits which gain them entry to Canada. The current federal permanent immigration programs although operational on paper, are not attracting interest from foreign investors. Instead of going through the long wait of visitor visas turning into work visas turning into permanent residency, these people are skipping many steps by going straight towards owning a little piece of Canada.

Second time working with Visaplace, and was successful again with a visa application for parents (2 out of 2). Worked with Felicita and Mansi, strong guidance, very detailed approach to putting together a very thorough and comprehensive application. Good feedback and support throughout the full process. Highly recommend Visaplace!
