Provincial Nominee Programs are great because you can live and work in the province or territory you have chosen and you can apply directly, so the process is much faster.
2 Categories for the Yukon Provincial Nominee Program
There are two categories for the Yukon Provincial Nominee Program, while there are two sub-categories in each of these categories.
Business Program
Under the business program, you can apply as an entrepreneur or a self-employed professional. As an entrepreneur, you must make an investment of at least $150,000 Canadian in a business you are starting or buying, while also have visited the Yukon previously.
As a self-employed professional, you must have a profession that has been listed as a professional skill shortage, submit a business plan, and have sufficient financial resources to start your business.
Skilled Worker Program
There are two categories available under the Skilled Worker program, and those are skilled workers and critical impact workers.
As a skilled worker, you must have a full-time and permanent job offer in the territory in a skilled occupation and you cannot be a refugee claimant.
As a critical impact worker, you must have a permanent and full-time job offer in an occupation that is level C or D on the National Occupation Classification, you must have a work permit and you must have relevant work experience.
