Additional information about this Canadian Embassy in Nigeria:

According to the 2006 census, approximately 10,000 people have recently immigrated to Canada from Nigeria. Trade between Canada and Nigeria exceeds $1 billion annually, but visa requirements are continually fluctuating between Canada and Nigeria, making it important to speak to an immigration lawyer when possible.

Should You Contact a Lawyer First…?

It is important to remember that when applying for Canadian Immigration, you are required to submit your application to the Canadian Embassy of your nationality. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. You should always contact an immigration lawyer to assist you with the procedures associated with the Canadian Embassy of your region because the Canadian Embassy in Nigeria may have its own set of special rules and procedures.

    Hi Owen,
I am a 27 years old aspiring study permit applicant, However, my last educational qualification is a Professional Java Programmer Professional course which ended March 31st. . I obtained my Waec result 2008, so since then I haven’t attended any polytechnic or university in Nigeria till date. Only been working minor works, which I was not employed with my Waec certs or any other certs. However, I am applying as an undergraduate student with a college in BC, Canada and I have gotten my admission letter and My resumption date is September 8, Which Orientation which is compulsory is August 24. and paid my one year tuition fee. With the receipt and the help of my sponsor(My brother) working in the oil firm with an closing balance of 6m. I need to ask The chances of me applying since my last Educational level from 2008 till 2014 was not known.

P:S, I haven’t gotten my latest edu. qualification certs. Which I will obtain before my sbmission. SO if anyone of you have an advice to render, It will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

      Hello Akpuchukwu,

Thanks for the question. You will likely need a Visitor Visa, and this will require you to demonstrate that you have a reliable travel history, and will be able to financially support yourself while in Canada, amongst meeting other criteria. We would be happy to help you visit Canada, and once you fill out our free online assessment form, one of our immigration professionals will be in touch with you shortly http://www.visaplace.com/immigration-assessment/

      Regards,

Hi, please could you furnish me with procedures and requirement to write ‘language test’. Result of language test is one of the documents required to be uploaded to online application of PNP & federal EXPRESS ENTRY. Thanks.

      Hello,

Thanks for the message. We would be able to get in contact with the CIC on your behalf to determine what is causing the delay in your case, and your case should be expedited considering that your classes start on Jan 4-if I’ve understood correctly. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further assistance.

    good day,

I applied for a study visa last year, which was granted. I later got married and I want my husband to apply for a spousal open work permit visa, which he did but was refused based on the ground that he may not leave after the period granted. they were also talking about getting LMI from his employer ..

we want to reapply, although am still in Nigeria.

    Please advice… Thanks

      Hello Toyin,

Sorry to hear about the refusal. Our experienced immigration lawyers could definitely help strengthen the application, and it is indeed very common for people to get refused on the basis of insufficient ties to their home country. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any more questions.

      Regards,
