Remembrance Day in Canada: a time for Immigrants to be thankful too

Taking a minute of silence to remember our fallen soldiers who fought for our freedoms is an important ritual for Canadians and Canadian immigrants.

Without the sacrifices of these heroes, our life’s and those of our children may be very different today.  Canada remains a top immigration destination for an obvious reason: Canada is a free country where hard work is rewarded, fundamental freedoms are protected, and differences are celebrated.

We should thank our soldiers for the rights we, and Canadian immigrants, enjoy everyday. So a moment of silence is not too much to ask. Thank you.
