Dear Shabnam and Elnaz,
I apologize for the delayed update! I returned late last night from Buffalo. Things went very well! I met with an officer and she approved my TRP Application for 9 months- until October 2013, which clears me for my contract from July 7th-September 1st.
I’m so happy and grateful this all went smoothly, and really feel a large part of it was due to the preparation of my application and interview. She spent time reviewing it and asking me questions, but she was not aggressive or mean-spirited. Very clinical, observant, and seemed as if she was just trying to do her job. She also said, due to it being my first and only minor offense, they would waive the TRP fee.
She advised (since one had already been sent to the consulate) to speak to my representation about contacting the consulate to retract that application/check and being refunded the original fee?
I just want to thank you and Elnaz again for all your assistance. This has made a big difference in my life and I’m glad I was able to obtain your services. Now we will wait for the Criminal Rehabilitation decision to come back, which has the long processing times. Will the decision response be sent to Niren and Associates and then you’ll contact me, or will I be contacted?
Please let me know if you need copies of the TRP now stapled in my passport!
Jess
