Is anyone eligible for the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa to Canada?

I had recently heard the good news of the implementation of the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. How does it work and is anyone eligible for one? I plan to come to Calgary in the summer to visit relatives, but would also love the freedom to visit some friends in the US while in North America.

Hello there, thank you for your post. A multiple entry visa allows visitors to come and go from Canada for six months at a time, without having to reapply each time. It can be valid for up to 10 years, or one month before your passport expires, whichever is earlier. You must arrive in Canada on or before the expiry date on your visa.

Not everyone is eligible to apply for a visa. You must ensure that your passport is from the list of countries found on the CIC website that need a visa for entry into Canada. Canada welcomes more than 35 million temporary residents (non-immigrants) each year.

Anyone can apply for a multiple entry visa; however, criminality and medical issues may prevent a visitor from entering Canada. Visitors to Canada must also be able to prove their ability to support themselves during their intended temporary stay in Canada.

Fill out our free assessment to see if your eligible for a temporary resident visa and our skilled professional Canadian team, which I work with everyday, will assist you through this process for you to be able to visit your friends and family in Canada this summer!
