Live-in Caregiver Program for Canada in 2014

(Below is a transcription of this video)

Hi, this is Michael Niren, Founder of visaplace.com, an immigration lawyer. I’m pleased to announce that in 2014, the government has agreed to expand the Live-in Caregiver Program or the For Nanny Program.

What You Should Know About the Live-in Caregiver Program

They announced that they’ll be processing 17,500 applicants for the year of 2014. This is a very exciting development. We process a lot of live-in caregiver applications.

There is a need for nannies to come to Canada, to work with Canadian employers, to assist with their elderly parents or young children. This is a much needed increase for Canada. We’re really looking forward to assisting employers, foreign workers and foreign nannies to come to Canada.

Hello Mariz. In order to be eligible for a caregiver visa, you must have taken a 6 month caregiver course, or have at least 12 months of paid caregiver experience. You will also need a job offer from a Canadian employer.

Hello. It seems that you have enough paid experience to apply for a caregiver visa as soon as you have a job offer.
