Irish and Canadian Youth are Provided a great Opportunity

Youth from Canada and Ireland will have a lot more opportunity to be able to travel and work abroad. The two countries have signed an amendment to the youth mobility agreement that the two countries currently have.

Irish and CanadianOn March 6 2004 Canada and Ireland signed an amendment that will expand the existing agreement. This youth mobility program provides a chance for Irish citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 to work and travel in Canada for up to 24 months. Young

Canadians have also been given the chance to work and travel in Ireland. There have been two categories added as options for youth from both countries.

Having a pre-arranged contract of employment that supports their career are now able to apply to the young Professionals Category. Also, Full time students who have been able to secure a work placement or internship that is part of their academic curriculum will now be able to apply to the International Co-op category.

The Young Professional and International Co-op categories will open on March 11 2014, and the
Working Holiday category will open on March 13 2014.
