Hello,

My wife, who is a permanant resident with Korean citizenship wants to get J-1 visa to do internship in US.  Would it be possible for me to get TN, if I obtain a job offer from US, therefore I can move to US with her until her J1 status ends?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

The nonimmigrant NAFTA Professional (TN) visa allows citizens of Canada and Mexico, as NAFTA professionals, to work in the U.S. in a prearranged business activity for a U.S. or foreign employer. If you are not a citizen of any of these countries, you would not qualify for a TN visa.

Assuming that you qualify, you need to have an offer of employment from the U.S. and prove that you have the skills and work experience in the designated field of employment.
