I was asked to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee (RPRF), for Canadian immigration. What is this exactly?

    The RPRF is required in order to complete the landing process. You can pay the RPRF up front when you apply in some cases and if your application is refused it is refunded to you. However the processing fee is not refundable
