What happens to my family if I am deemed inadmissible?

Canadian Immigration

I am a student, I changed from one University to another due to my move. There was a delay in the letter of acceptance due to the flood. I received a letter from immigration requesting that I provide proof of funds and a letter of acceptance. I provided the both. after a week I received a letter that a negative decision has been made. I was told that I am inadmissible. I am scheduled to meet a border officer. Am I going to be arrested and deported when I appear? Will my kids be left alone in Calgary? I have my wife and a 9 years old son also. I have a daughter in university who is on a separate study permit. I am confused.
