PR Applications received after January 31, 2012
Applicants have been advised that they will have the benefit of having their permanent resident applications considered under either the NOC 2006 or the NOC 2011, until CIC determines that it will shift to the exclusive use of the new NOC 2011. As a result, officers should assess applications received after January 31, 2012 according to either the NOC 2006 or 2011, whichever of the two NOCs is the most advantageous to the applicant.
LMO’s and AEO’s
HRSDC has advised that it will continue to use the 2006 NOC for Labour Market Opinions (LMOs) and Arranged Employment Opinions (AEOs) until further notice. As such, CIC will also continue to assess applications that are accompanied by LMOs and AEOs with the 2006 NOC edition.
