Today is Remembrance Day (Veteran’s Day for our American friends). On Remembrance Day, Canadians and newcomers to Canada reflect on their freedoms and quality of life if it were not for the sacrifices made by those at home and abroad. We take this day to celebrate these men and women, who are heroes.
Take a moment and be thankful that we able to enjoy these things that so many around the world are unable to. You can express your thanks by wearing a poppy, or by taking a moment to visit your local war memorial and thanking a veteran.
Immigration to Canada would not be what it is today without our veterans who fought to keep our country free
