Juan Miguel de Villa

Juan obtained his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. Prior to attending law school, Juan completed a B.A. (Hons) in Media, Information, and Technoculture at Western University as well as an M.A. in Communication and Culture in a joint program between Ryerson and York University.

During law school, Juan was a Division Leader in the Immigration Division of the Community and Legal Aide Services Programme (CLASP) where he assisted disadvantaged clients with a variety of immigration matters. While at CLASP, Juan also represented clients before the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and facilitated public legal education seminars in the Jane and Finch community on immigration-related topics.

Juan articled with the legal department of Canada’s largest school board before being called to the bar and joining Niren & Associates as an Associate in 2016. His practice is exclusively in the area of Canadian citizenship and immigration law, including applications for federal economic immigration programs, family sponsorships, and humanitarian and compassionate grounds applications.
